“STEX” is an abbreviation that was taken from their parent company’s name, STAR EXIM.
Nandish & Jigna Shah, the husband-wife duo has brought forth India’s first pure copper pens. Mr. Nandish, the director of a copper based company & Mrs. Jigna, the director – finance at the same company fit together like two jigsaw pieces, forming a potent team. The idea of copper pens burst through all of his limits when he was trying to investigate the restrictions of a new machine and gave the writing business a fresh perspective.
“There is a woman behind every successful man.” Here, it is shown that the adage is true. While Mr. Nandish looks after the pen’s mechanics, Mrs. Jigna’s focus and zeal is the driving force for the team to push further to elevate STEX to an international standard.
“I like the patina it already has and Schmidt nibs make always a smooth and wet writing experience. The pen is well balanced and the grip section has a very comfortable diameter and is totally non-slippery. I was a bit worried about the ridges, but they are very comfortable and don’t hurt at all, the pen is great for longer writing sessions. I used it unposted as most pens. Copper is just a lovely material with amazing properties.”
